Straight Street Men's Center was started in 2005 in Arcata, California with only two staff members and two students working out of borrowed apartments. As the program began to grow, a group of local people saw a need for a permanent men's center. In 2009, an old drug infested hotel was purchased and converted into what became the Straight Street Men's Center in Eureka. After years of praying and preparation, a new facility was purchased and in January of 2021 we moved into the new home.
Straight Street Men's Center is a one year discipleship program that can house 60 men. They are using the PSNC (Personal Studies for New Christians) for classroom studies, have a work therapy program, and are reaching out to the local community with many services.
